Three Things Every Business Should Do Right Now:

If your business is OPEN:

1. Add A Website Banner

Put a banner at the top of your website that states: 

“We Are Open – COVID-19 Update”Link the banner to your COVID-19 Update page (see below)

2. Add A COVID-19 Update Page To Your Website

Explain that you are open and what your business is doing to keep your customers and staff safe.

3. Send An Email To Your Customers, Clients and Patients

  • Let them know that your business is open.
  • Include the information from your COVID-19 Update page including how you are keeping your customers and staff safe.
  • If appropriate, offer a promotion for one of your relevant service.

If your business is CLOSED:

1. Add A Website Banner

Put a banner at the top of your website that includes:

  • The business is temporarily closed.
  • How long you expect to be closed.
  • How customers can reach you during your closure.

 Something like this:
“We Are Temporarily Closed Until April 7th. Call For Info (206) 555-1212” 

2. Send An Email To Your Customers, Clients, and Patients

  • Let them know that your business is closed.
  • How long you expect to be closed.
  • How to contact the business while you’re closed.
  • What you will do with appointments that were supposed to happen during your closure.

3.  Get The Word Out When You Are Going To Reopen
Once you are reasonably certain of the date your business will reopen, update your website banner message with that date. Also, send an email to your customers, clients, and patients with that information and any revised hours and operating procedures once you’re open.
