The common thread with all three is “content.” When marketing your business, content means any information current and potential customers may want to know about your business and the products and services you offer.

Here are some content ideas for Home Service Contractors whose customers are typically homeowners:

Content usually takes the form of a blog post that can be posted on your website. The length of the article will vary depending on the topic, with the shortest being about 500 words, or 3-5 paragraphs.
Once the content has been created, here’s where the magic happens.
#1 SEO – Content (blog post) is posted to your website. Google then crawls your website, discovers the new content and adds it to their index of the web. When people search for that topic, Google shows them the websites with the most useful information about it. Customers who are loyal to your business will like and share the content to encourage others to use your business.
#3 Email Campaigns – Every business should be sending email campaigns to their customers including previous customers, current customers and potential customers. Emailing relevant content will build your company’s brand with potential customers and reinforce your presence with current customers. Your current or previous customers may not need the specific service that is discussed in the email at the time, but they may pass it along to their friends and family.
One piece of well written content can be used to complete the perfect trifecta in marketing. Content without a strategy to implement it through social media and email campaigns can be a waste of time, but using the trifecta of marketing can help your business be extremely successful online!
